Hybrid Role

A leading Advisor with an incredibly strong brand in mid-market PE M&A Tax is looking to appoint a strong candidate who is keen to move out of general Corporate Tax into the commercial world of Transaction Tax.

Deals work includes:

- advising PE funds and large corporates on tax due diligence

- acquisition structuring

- disposals

- joint venture structuring and financing on both UK and cross border transactions

This role is ideal for a UK CTA and/or ACA trained person who enjoys getting into the legalisation, but is looking to apply it commercially on buy and/or sell side transactions.

GROUP HEAD OF TAX - INTERNATIONAL CONGLOMERATE - UAE, DUBAI BASED

Background:

​

In collaboration with a specialist global executive search firm widely regarded as leaders in the Tax niche, we're searching for a Group Head of Tax who will lead the Group Tax function within a highly respected conglomerate,  assisting them to meet their tax obligations for the 250+ companies operating in 28 countries.

​

Role purpose:

​

  • To develop overall Tax strategy

  • Set the Tax Operating Model for all Group companies to follow

  • Set Tax Policies

  • Develop the Group's Tax planning strategy

  • Lead Tax initiatives across all geographies

  • Develop the Group's Tax Control Framework

​

We're looking for:

 

  • Extensive experience (minimum 15 years) in tax management 

  • Proven track record of developing and executing tax strategies to optimize financial performance

  • Ability to interpret and comunicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals

  • Excellent leadership abilities, communication and interpersonal skills 

  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of integrity in all tax-related activities

  • Strong tax accounting background 

  • Solid proficiency in international and domestic tax law

  • Deep understanding of corporate income tax and Pillar II (Global Minium Tax)

  • Technical knowledge of all other taxes

  • Knowledge of employment legislation and government regulations to ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to create, plan, manage and execute.
